Nicolas Cage has broken his silence following the death of Lisa Marie Presley.
The actor and daughter of Elvis Presley were married for four months in 2002 before going their separate ways.
On the news of his ex-wife’s death, Cage told E! News: “Lisa had the greatest laugh of anyone I ever met.”
“She lit up every room, and I am heartbroken.”
“I find some solace believing she is reunited with her son Benjamin [Keough],” he added. Keough died by suicide in 2020.
Presley died of possible cardiac arrest just two days after she attended the Golden Globes with her mother, Priscilla. The two watched as Austin Butler won for his portrayal of Elvis in the biopic by Baz Luhrman.
Elvis Presley died at the age of 42 of a heart attack on 16 August 1977.
